The Main Floor Plan drawing was created using SoftPlan’s base module. The walls were drawn first by selecting a wall from the wall menu. If the wall type you require is not on the list, simply define a new wall structure.
Sketch the walls by clicking the start and end points of each wall. A running tape measure is provided.
SoftPlan will automatically draw the wall with the appropriate textures and join all intersections. Walls can also be added by clicking at the start point and entering the exact length and direction.
A completely finished wall is drawn, with cross hatching, cavity and stud material displayed. This finished wall can be generated as a item in an elevation, cross section, 3D image or material list with no extra work.
Openings are placed in the walls by selecting the style and size of the opening and clicking on the wall to place.
Brand specific libraries are provided, you also have the option to add custom libraries as required.
Dimensions were added by selecting Auto-Dimension or simply passing the mouse across the objects to be dimensioned. The style, size and location are controlled by you. There are several arrow styles to choose from.
Notation was added by either typing the required text or by using SoftPlan’s unique Speed Note Libraries.
A speed note can be anything from a single word to an entire specification. Just type it once, and save it in your Speed Note Libraries. The note can then be used over an over again with a click of a mouse.
Symbols were placed on the drawing using the Symbol Libraries. SoftPlan comes with most of the symbols that you will ever need. Eg, Kitchen cabinet libraries, bathroom fixtures, interior and exterior furniture, landscaping and more.
You can however, create your own symbols. Simply draw the required object once using SoftPlan’s line draw tools and save it in your Symbol Libraries.
